Michelle Brown
Women's Health & Wellness Therapist

BSc(Hons), DipSpT, pgCertEd

Hi! I'm Michelle Brown, a Women's Health and Wellness Therapist with over 23 years of experience as a qualified personal trainer. I hold a BSc(Hons) in Exercise Science since 2005 and a Diploma in Sports Therapy since 2010. Throughout my career, I've worked in various settings including commercial, corporate, and sports facilities, progressing from fitness instructor to personal trainer and eventually to fitness manager at a premium health club chain. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing fitness and group exercise provision.

Early in my career, I transitioned into education, training future fitness professionals at a further education college and private training companies. For the past 15 years, I've operated my own training company, Fit4Training, and more recently founded the Telford Soft Tissue Therapy School.

After the birth of my first child, Harry, in August 2011, I developed a keen interest in working with pregnant women and new mothers. Recognizing the lack of support for this population in the health and fitness industry, I launched 'Mummy Movers' in February 2012. This initiative successfully provided regular exercise classes in Telford, Shropshire, specifically for new mothers who could bring their babies along.

As my work evolved, I began assisting more pregnant women and mothers at various stages of postnatal recovery. I realized that exercise alone wasn't fully utilizing my skills and knowledge in soft tissue therapy and rehabilitation. To better serve women and help them regain confidence, physical health, and mental well-being, I furthered my education in 2018. I re-qualified in several specialized areas of women's health and fitness, enabling me to offer more comprehensive services.

My passion for working with women continues to grow. Today, I support women through various life stages, from pre-pregnancy to peri-menopause and post-menopause, and even through their breast cancer journey. I provide tailored exercise, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies to optimize core, pelvic floor, and overall health and well-being.

I'm also a proud mother of three: Harry, aged 12; Sophie, aged 9; and Murphy, aged 2.
